Subversion provides the checkout command to check out a working copy from a repository. Below command will create a new directory in the current working directory with the name project_repo. Don't bother about the repository URL, as most of the time, it is already provided by the subversion administrator with appropriate access. To open it, either open your Applications folder, then open Utilities and double-click on Terminal, or press Command - spacebar to launch Spotlight and type "Terminal," then double-click the search result. You’ll see a small window with a white background open on your desktop. To install them go to Downloads for Apple Developers. Getting one is free and only requires an Apple ID which you should all already have.
